As a teacher I recognize that
“children must have choices about what they learn and how they learn it, that children have the right to take in the setting of their own learning goals, and that the classroom must connect with the experiences and interests of each child”
(D. J Carey 2005)
It is my responsibility to look carefully at the individual needs of each child and implement various teaching strategies accordingly in order to enable all students, including those with diverse learning characteristics, to participate in mainstream education.
